These dental replacements become a permanent part of your smile. At Hazzouri Dental we provide the finest in dental implants for our Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area patients. We can replace a single tooth or use them as an alternative to traditional bridges or dentures. And since the implants are anchored to your jaw, they come closer than any other method of restoration to providing the look, feel, comfort, and function of natural teeth.Dental-Implant-1

Unlike many practices, Hazzouri Dental can perform every step of the procedure in one place. This is because Dr. Hazzouri has been trained to perform the oral surgery required to place the bases. Other dentists have to send the patient to an oral surgeon before they can begin to craft the dental replacements. At Hazzouri Dental, we’re able to provide all necessary steps from start to beautiful finish.

The Process – How it Works

Dental implants begin with a threaded titanium base placed in the jaw to serve as a replacement for tooth roots. If a single tooth is being replaced, only a single implant base is required. For replacement of multiple teeth, we will obviously need to use more bases. The number depends on the type and design of the replacement.

In some cases, a single replacement tooth is attached to each base. In other cases, a bridge may be anchored to two or more bases. For example, one type of full upper bridge, replacing an ordinary upper denture, is anchored with six implant bases. Once in position, bone and gum grow around the implant base until it is secure and as strong as a normal root.

Next, we create the tooth replacements and permanently fasten them with studs screwed into the bases. Of course, Hazzouri Dental uses only the very highest quality materials to create replacements that are virtually indistinguishable from the real thing. These implants are totally secure in your mouth, which results in a cosmetic solution that will enhance your smile for years.
